Dear Patients and Carers,
As you know, Redwood Practice has been using Care Navigation, also known as Patient Triage, to provide appropriate appointments for their patients. This is aligned with most GP Practices in England.
From Monday 7th April 2025, our online consultation system is changing to Anima from AccuRx. This will be open throughout core hours (08.00-18.30) for submission of medical and administrative requests. We urge you to use this as far as feasible.
We recognise that not everyone is comfortable with or able to use online services. This system allows us to take requests via the telephone or attending in-person at the practice reception.
Once your request is submitted by any of the above contact methods, our clinical team will look into this and you will be informed of the outcome as soon as feasible. However, in some cases this can take few days depending on the waiting list.
This aligns with our commitment in providing equitable access to all patients, regardless of their preferred contact method.
Please remember that if your problem is urgent and an appointment is available on the same day this will be given to you. However, if our same day capacity has been reached you may be advised to attend an urgent care centre. If your problem is severe or life threatening then you should attend the nearest Accident & Emergency department.
